Academic Mission
The Master of Public Health in Population and Reproductive Health at Uganda Martyrs University is a postgraduate program designed to equip students with advanced knowledge and skills in addressing critical population and reproductive health challenges. This program offers a comprehensive curriculum focusing on epidemiology, biostatistics, health policy, program planning and evaluation, and the social determinants of health. Students will engage with theoretical frameworks and practical applications relevant to maternal, newborn, and child health, family planning, sexual health, and population dynamics. The curriculum emphasizes research methodologies and ethical considerations in public health practice. Graduates will be prepared for leadership roles in governmental and non-governmental organizations, international agencies, and research institutions, contributing to evidence-based interventions and policy development.
