Do I need to be a professional writer to enter?
Not at all! We are looking for authentic stories, not perfect grammar. If your story is real and touching, you have a chance to win.
Can I submit if I am currently studying outside Uganda?
Yes! We have a special “Diaspora” category. We want to hear how your Ugandan education foundation helped you (or challenged you) abroad.
Is there a specific topic I must write about?
You are free to choose, but it must be education-related. Topics can range from “My favourite teacher” to “How I survived boarding school” or “My vision for the future of exams.”
Can I submit a story on behalf of someone else?
Yes, but please credit them clearly in the story and ensure you have their permission to.
How will winners be selected?
A panel of judges from StudyUganda and our partners will score stories based on originality, authenticity, and impact.
