Academic Mission
The Master of Arts in Local Governance and Human Rights (DL) is a postgraduate program designed to equip students with advanced knowledge and practical skills in the complex intersection of decentralized governance and the promotion and protection of human rights. This distance learning program fosters a critical understanding of local government structures, their roles in service delivery, and their accountability mechanisms within the framework of human rights principles. Students will explore contemporary challenges and innovative solutions in areas such as participatory governance, local economic development, and access to justice at the grassroots level.
