Academic Mission
The Postgraduate Diploma in Development Monitoring and Evaluation provides advanced training in the principles and practices of systematically assessing the progress and impact of development initiatives. This program equips students with the theoretical knowledge and practical skills necessary to design, implement, and manage effective monitoring and evaluation systems. Coursework covers quantitative and qualitative data collection methods, impact assessment techniques, and the ethical considerations inherent in development work. Students will learn to critically analyze data, report findings, and inform evidence-based decision-making for improved program effectiveness and accountability. Graduates are prepared for roles in government agencies, non-governmental organizations, international development bodies, and the private sector. Key skills developed include data analysis, research design, and program management.
