Academic Mission
The Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) program at Uganda Christian University equips students with comprehensive knowledge and practical skills in oral healthcare. This rigorous undergraduate program emphasizes foundational sciences, clinical dentistry, and public health principles. Students engage in extensive laboratory work and supervised clinical rotations, preparing them to diagnose and manage a wide range of dental conditions. The curriculum fosters critical thinking, ethical practice, and a commitment to lifelong learning in the evolving field of dentistry. Upon graduation, students are prepared for careers as general dentists in public and private practice, or for further specialization.
