Academic Mission

The Diploma in Christian Counselling program at Kampala Evangelical School of Theology equips students with foundational knowledge and practical skills in providing Christ-centered counseling. This program explores psychological principles within a biblical worldview, addressing common personal, relational, and spiritual challenges. Students will engage with theological frameworks for understanding human suffering and healing, alongside essential counseling techniques. Emphasis is placed on ethical practice and the integration of faith in the therapeutic process. Graduates will be prepared for roles in church-based counseling, community support, and para-church organizations, fostering emotional and spiritual well-being. Key skills developed include active listening, empathy, crisis intervention, and spiritual discernment.
