Academic Mission
The Diploma in Food Science and Technology program at the Islamic University in Uganda provides a comprehensive foundation in the scientific principles and technological applications underlying food production, processing, preservation, and quality control. Students will gain an understanding of food chemistry, microbiology, nutrition, and engineering relevant to the food industry. The curriculum emphasizes practical skills in laboratory analysis, product development, and industrial operations. This program equips graduates with the knowledge and competencies necessary for careers in food manufacturing, quality assurance, research and development, and regulatory affairs within the food sector.
