Academic Mission

The Bachelor of Social Work program at the Islamic University in Uganda equips students with the theoretical knowledge and practical skills necessary for effective social intervention. This undergraduate program emphasizes a human rights and social justice framework, preparing graduates to address complex social issues within diverse communities. Students will engage with core social work principles, including case management, community organizing, and policy analysis. The curriculum integrates fieldwork placements, allowing for hands-on experience in various social service settings. Upon completion, graduates will be prepared for roles in non-governmental organizations, government agencies, and healthcare institutions, fostering positive social change.
