Academic Mission

The Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) program at Equator University of Science and Technology (EQUSaT) provides comprehensive training in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of oral diseases and conditions. Students will acquire a strong foundation in the basic medical and dental sciences, coupled with extensive clinical experience. The curriculum emphasizes evidence-based practice, patient-centered care, and the development of critical thinking skills essential for lifelong learning in dentistry. Graduates will be prepared for licensure and practice as general dentists, with opportunities in private practice, public health, academia, and specialized dental fields.
