Academic Mission

The Master of Public Health program at Busitema University, Mbale Campus, offers advanced training in the principles and practices of public health. This program equips students with the knowledge and skills necessary to address complex health challenges within populations. Core coursework covers epidemiology, biostatistics, health policy and management, social and behavioral sciences, and environmental health. Students engage in rigorous research methodologies and practical application through fieldwork and capstone projects. Graduates are prepared for leadership roles in governmental and non-governmental health organizations, research institutions, and international health agencies. Key skills developed include program evaluation, data analysis, community needs assessment, and health advocacy.
